Rhinebeck Ride Details

We will meet at A&J Cycles by 7:30am and ride to Locomotion Powersports in Mahwah, NJ for breakfast. We will leave Locomotion at approximately 8:30am to travel to Rhinebeck. Please arrive with your bike gassed up.

Additional ride details from Rhinebeck’s DGR organizers is as follows:

After arriving in Rhinebeck, you will have the chance to discard any “excess safety clothing” that you need to wear on the journey from home to the start point, that you do not require in our sedate route around the beautiful countryside of Dutchess County.  We will have volunteers who will help you “bag and tag” your gear, and keep it safe until we return at the end of the ride.

We will have some facilities available at the parking lot, with coffee on sale from All That Java (who are making a donation to the Movember Foundation), and soft drinks form Nuzzi’s Tin Tavern (generously sponsored by Smartrider).  We will also have toilet facilities available.

After checking in, please take advantage of the opportunity to mingle with your fellow dapper riders, admire the collection of bikes participating this year, and take some time toc check out the display of bikes that our Triumph dealer friends at BMG Powersports are bringing over for the day. PLEASE do listen carefully when you are asked to join the rider briefing, as this contains important safety and logistical information.

When we leave, our route takes us through the centre of Rhinebeck (a great spot for spectators), out into the countryside, and on to a stopover point in Red Hook, again where spectators can see the collection of bikes and your dapper attire.  We will stay in Red Hook for about 30-45 minutes.  Our friends at Endeavor Cafe (who are making a donation to the Movember Foundation) will again be selling coffee and pastries.  We will then head off again into the countryside, before returning to the Fairground in Rhinebeck, again coming through the centre of Rhinebeck Village to maximize our public exposure.

Throughout the ride, I am pleased to say that we will have the support of the Rhinebeck Police, State Troopers and Red Hook Police.
